Chapter 2

They screamed and fell silent. Where once music and art and love were the pinnacles of their society, greed and gunpowder tore them from history. The riches looted from corpses littering the streets were too hard to pass by, too easy to pick up. The light of the civilised world was turned to a match lock, its beautiful citizens to ammunition, murdering themselves for the glory they were told existed beyond the muzzle.
