Warriorsmature
A death march, all at once, every man, woman, child
Amble to the grave and hope the walk was worthwhile
Are we the human race or just some pathetic parade
Picking up your feet, step by step, day by day
That man over there thinking he's a warrior
Doing all the things his ancestors have done before
Work, family, money, the $^&^ing big telly
The human race, a miracle, just as the humans tell me
One man, one clan, one ^*@^ing planet
All broken and beaten, so who the hell planned it?
Before you march on, ask yourself just why
Who loves you? Who need you? Why are you alive?
Sometimes I get so bogged down by futility
Knowing everything I do has been done or tried before me
What is original? When did we lose the spark?
How long before we plunge ourselves into dark?
Selfish, guiltless, we work to raze this earth
Up until death, built into us since birth
We are our own teachers, students and how do we treat life?
Piss it away, keep marching, destruction and strife
Along the way, and it hurts, the further we tread
We spread, like a parasitic disease, so please
Before you march on ask yourself just why
Who loves you? Who needs you? Why are you alive?
We puny humans think we're so special
Never seem to come up with something useful and fresh now, though
The battle's been done and the war has been fought
But we must plough on, and so we must be taught
To evade our enemies, didn't we once have friends like these?
Trust no-one, God is not real, belief is weak
There is nobody but us, we must struggle and strive
Forever in our tireless efforts to conquer, to survive
Continuation of this great nation, of the species
Set goals so high but we know we'll never reach these, please
Before you march on ask yourself just why
Who loves you? Who needs you? Why are you alive?
