Where are you going
In the blue ember night
When this evening is so bright and the sun sings a rose prayer between the sea and sky?
When you can rub your face in the dirt and the grass,
When you can taste the fleshy saltwater bite of the air on your cheeks,
In your hair, on the tips of your fingers.
When you can hold these feelings in your hands and let them trickle away like water,
Please don’t fly so far away,
Don’t fly so far I cannot reach.
