Who Are You to Shake Your Fist?

I was inspired to write this when a professor gave a conference that openly mocked my God. He made fun of Christians. It was all I could to to keep from lashing back, so I wrote this, instead.

Who Are You to Shake Your Fist?

Verse 1, part 1
My God is Almighty
The Calmer of storms
Deserving of more than human hearts
He's risen and restored
My God is Holy
We can't look upon His glory
Over and over, He's proven His Strength
In every kind of story

Verse 1, part 2
So when you mock Him, I won't be idle.
Don't expect me to keep quiet!

Chorus
Who are you to shake your fist
At a God Who's infinite?!
All you have's a fragile mind
And a devil-sold soul that leaves you blind
If you die and your life is gone
Will you wish you hadn't mocked my God?

Verse 2, part 1
My God's omnipotent
Ruler of all
Yet He'll answer to every
Broken sinner's call
My God's everlasting
The same throughout the ages
A consuming Fire
With Justice, His Word rages

Verse 2, part 2
So when you mock Him, I won't be idle
Don't expect me to keep quiet!

Chorus
Who are you to shake your fist
At a God Who's infinite?!
All you have's a fragile mind
And a devil-sold soul that leaves you blind
If you die and your life is gone
Will you wish you hadn't mocked my God?

Bridge
Your efforts to dissuade my faith
Will only result in more strength
My God exists, and He lives in me
As every star in the heavens decrees!

Chorus
Who are you to shake your fist
At a God Who's infinite?!
All you have's a fragile mind
And a devil-sold soul that leaves you blind
When you die, your life is gone
YOU WILL WISH YOU HAD NOT MOCKED MY GOD!

The End
