The Person, The Question

He's falling apart in the back of his car
his smile, it then fades. Nothing's left but a scar
with a kiss to his lips she will then break his heart
and all that was left has now moved so far
and this boy wasn't born at the root of a star

that person, that question
how could she just avoid something they both all want
she was always such a flaunt
that person, that question
Her eyes will always remain something that he'll never haunt
she was always such a flaunt

he keeps his eyes low, he doesn't wanna blow it
but he's hiding away from something that he'll never get
he keeps his courage at heart knowing he'll never quit
and he'll sit there all of his life waiting for her to submit
to give up would be something he'd hate to admit

that person, that question
he's just a small mark in her book labelled nonchalant
she was always such a flaunt
that person, that question
He's starving himself waiting knowing he'll become daunt
she was always such a flaunt

all his friends say he should give in
but he knows now that maybe one day they will start to begin
and he has a strong heart, and is a lion within
the only question he's ever asking himself is when?
But it will remain unanswered as his head takes one last full spin

that person, that question
she's not taking his heart with her on her long summers jaunt
she was always such a flaunt
that person, that question
And all he can do is be patient and take all her taunt
she was always such a flaunt
