Ghost

Note: OK, OK, so technically this is a poem because it doesn't have a chorus. But I consider it a song because I wrote it as a song and it therefore has a tune. I'm not going to tell you what it's about, so you're welcome to go all English-teacher on it *gulp*

Ghost

I knew a girl who believed in ghosts
She said they were attracted to fear
I knew a girl who believed in ghosts
It grew colder whenever she was near

The girl, so young, was white as white
Her eyes seemed distant and empty
The girl, so young, was white as white
Her presence was chilling but plenty

The girl would sing a deathly song
Her voice was hauntingly pure
The girl would sing a deathly song
It had one lonely verse and no more

She made me sing the song but the words sounded wrong
In my voice which was shaking with belated fear
She made me sing the song but the words sounded wrong
As I watched the young girl disappear

The End
