The Painful Truth

Note: This is another one that appeared out of nowhere. I think it's from the point of view of someone who's talking about how much she misses her ex. This is one of my stranger ones... And I almost definitely stole the tune from somewhere

The Painful Truth

I sit here and I wait for you to turn up at my door
Because I can't accept that you don't come here any more
You walked into my life and you took part of my soul
I hope you know I'll miss you when my voice is growing old

Why won't you come here? Why didn't you stay?
Why did you have to leave that way?
Why won't you come here? Why can't I see?
That obviously you and I weren't meant to be

I sit here and I wait for you to turn up at my door
Because I can't accept that you don't come here any more
You walked into my life and you took part of my soul
I hope you know I'll miss you when my voice is growing old

Why did you infect my life, and then just leave?
I think I deserve to know, so tell me please
Why could you not just stay away?
I hear you whispering my name ever single day

I sit here and I wait for you to turn up at my door
Because I can't accept that you don't come here any more
You walked into my life and you took part of my soul
I hope you know I'll miss you when my voice is growing old

Maybe this shows how far you'll go
To crush my hope
Of ever wanting anyone but you
Maybe this is proof to me how gullible I am
Because I followed your plan
And now look what I go through

I sit here and I wait for you to turn up at my door
Because I can't accept that you don't come here any more
You walked into my life and you took part of my soul
I hope you know I'll miss you when my voice is growing old

I hope you know I'll miss you when my voice is growing old

The End
