I Wrote the Lyrics

Note: This one was made up when I was cleaning my nan's caravan XD. Something or other has happened that caused a breakup, and the song is basically saying that it was nobody's fault - it just happened.

I Wrote the Lyrics

I wrote the lyrics to this song
So I'll probably get them wrong
But they'll still mean the same
No-one was to blame
That's why I wrote the lyrics to this song
And even though I'll get them wrong
They'll still mean the same
No-one was to blame

I know you blame yourself
For what we went through
But how can it have been you
When you weren't even there?
Nothing is solved with
Unneeded tears of shame
Or by tearing out your hair

And I wrote the lyrics to this song
And I'll probably get them wrong
But they'll still mean the same
No-one was to blame
And so I wrote the lyrics to this song
And even though I'll get them wrong
They'll still mean the same
No-one was to blame

Decisions like this aren't made easily
And so suddenly
I know I pretend that I'm OK
But I'm bluffing
You're not the only one who's suffering

And I wrote the lyrics to this song
So I'll probably get them wrong
But they'll still mean the same
No-one was to blame
And so I wrote the lyrics to this song
'Cause even though I'll get them wrong
They'll still mean the same
No-one was to blame

There's no need for blaming
And there's no shame in
Admitting that you're not in the wrong

Emotions like this seem to last forever

So I wrote the lyrics to this song
And I'll probably get them wrong
But they'll still mean the same
No-one was to blame
You said that it's not me, but it wasn't you
And I hope someday you'll see it too

I wrote the lyrics to this song
And even if I get them wrong
They'll still mean the same
No-one was to blame

No-one was to blame

The End
