The Fundamentals - My View, Anyway
Hello, Protagonizers. I'm going to try my hand at a non-fiction entry for a change of pace. I don't know if anyone else has put something similar up, so please let me know if I'm revisiting old territory here.
My interest in writing has been a part of my psychic landscape for a massively long time, and I've taken a few writing courses and read a few writing books along the way. I've gotten a lot of great feedback over the years, and that has been most gratifying. So, without tooting my own horn (too awfully much), I think I've developed a pretty decent skill level with this thing called writing.
I also seem to have developed an editor's eye, and I'm good with The Essentials: Spelling, Grammar, Punctuation. I'm not a Lord-High-Elocutioner (Hi, Tricia) by any stretch of the imagination, but I knows a thing-er-two.
Anyway, I thought I might share some of the things I've learned here, if that doesn't sound to awfully egotistical of me (I'm a Leo; have mercy). If it does, then tell me to sod off (there are a lot of Brits here), and I'll go shuffle off into my corner.
I thought it might at least make for a good discussion area. Add a chapter if you wish, and share your own experiences with The Wonder of the Essentials (cue fanfare).
Gawd, but I'm long-winded.
See ya.
