Stairs to 'Heaven'

I walk a never ending road to nowhere,
To the house, on the hill, to the left.
I walk the stairs to 'heaven',
Feeling like a theif in mid-theft.
I dont touch, I just stare
And check out the colour, in your hair.
This silence will be my death.

When in doubt, I'll tell the truth,
But I feel like a politician tonight,
Hopefully iI'll be hung,
'Cause then maybe I'll be alright.
When in doubt, I'll run away,
But I'm out of breath right now,
Your eyes they leave me breathless
I'm left drowning in my lough

And your thought seems to be leaving us,
Your voice wont cross my mind.
I had my eyes open the whole time,
So how could I possibly be that blind.
There's another hill in the distance,
It's got my name, my only resistance.
I'll carry on being my own kind.

When in doubt, I'll tell the truth,
But I feel like a politician tonight,
Hopefully I'll be hung,
'Cause then maybe I'll be alright.
When in doubt, I'll run away,
But I'm out of breath right now,
Your eyes they leave me breathless
I'm left drowning in my lough

The End
