We all seek a place,
Where our thoughts can interlace,
With the intermingled truths,
That we learn and long for as youths.
We find ourselves lost,
To lose everything, is the cost,
But do you really wish for this?
To settle for a life's short kiss
Of a short-lived bliss?
What could we all want?
How far can we to life, taunt?
Our past haunts us, hard for us to move forward,
Can we ever, to the future, move toward?
We are always searching for a place of solace,
We want to leave our lives for a palace
Of illusions of grandeur so pure;
Foolish you thinking that there could ever be a cure.
