You Are What You Write

How old were you when you started writing? When did you start?

I think I was about 14 when I started writing. So about year 8.

What was your first story, could we read it?

My first story was based off of the movie "Kiki's delivery service" and it featured a young princess witch running away to the human world to learn how to become a witch but also to make friends. Her parents didn't approve though, so they sent spies to get her back so she could be married to a wealthy nobleman. No you can't because it was written in pieces on scraps of paper and then I moved and lost them :/

What are you working on right now?

Right now I have a few stories. One is called "Part one: Escape" which is about three teens running off with a band to "live on the wild side" and they eventually end up starting their own band. I'm also working on a collaboration (Anyone is welcome to join, but so far no one has) called "Erikka".

Where do you get insparation?

Everywhere. I got my inspiration for "Part one: Escape" from watching "The Runaways" movie. I got inspiration for my collaboration from my depressed mood and also from a book I had just read called "Angelfire". Sometimes I just get the need to write and make it up as I go along.

When is your favourite time to write?

When I feel inspired by something so much that I feel like I want to go out and do it, but I can't. So I make my characters do it. Not only is it safer than actually doing whatever it is that inspired me, but I can make things happen the way I want it to. Unlike real life where you can't decide what happens.

Do you prefer colaborative works or Solo, do you like both?

I like both. Sometimes I write a story I want purely to be mine and sometimes I want to see what other people can do to make my story exciting for them. Not only does it show me what kind of a person they are, but also their writing style and how much imagination they have.

How did you find Protagonize, are you on any other popular writing sites (Booksie, smashwords, wattpad ect.)

I have no idea. I think it was an advertisement I saw on facebook one day... I'm not on anything else thats specifically used for writing but I am on Deviantart.

Anything else that you would like to share about yourself or your writing?

Generally nothing I write is real. Usually I just make up whatever I feel is right at the time. I know that's not right because writer's are supposed to look up facts. But since I'm not writing for work right now, I think I am allowed to just imagine whatever I want. A fictional world is much more interesting than the real world anyways. Facts just make things uninteresting to me. I often write mature stories, though they're not usually that bad. I just want to flag it in case I do write something that offends someone, which by the way, I don't want to offend anyone. Also some of my work is based on the over exaggerated emotions of anime characters, because to me anime is very good at creating and emphasising different emotions, so that each episode is an emotional roller coaster.

The End
