The Depressed Playlist

The Depressed Playlist - cassandramorrow

When I'm sad, I listen to the same songs. Over and over again. Like crazy. These are those songs.

"Rue's Lullaby" - Kimmy West
I listen to this song to remember when things weren't always so bad.

"Times" and "Beloved" - Tenth Avenue North
These songs - definitely the most important to me of all - remind me that no matter what, there is no situation and no sin too hopeless for God to redeem.

"Perfect" (hah)- P!nk
I listen to this song to buoy my spirits when I'm feeling down about myself.

"Please Don't Let Me Go" - Group 1 Crew
When I'm feeling alone and cold and completely unlovable, these lyrics speak to me like none other.

"Rumour Has It" - ADELE
Ha. This song instills a sort of cocky "Don't you wish you hadn't gotten me sad!" feeling within me. I don't even know why.

"Stronger" - Kelly Clarkson
"What doesn't kill you makes a fighter."

"Cut" - Plumb
I used to dabble in self-harm. This song reminds me that I am not alone in this.

"Drifting" - Plumb & Dan Haseltine
Again - this song reminds me that I'm not in this on my own.

"One Step Away" - WakeUpStarlight
I honestly don't understand most of the lyrics; it's just such a melancholy, heartfelt song.

"Feel the Light" and "Have Your Way" - Britt Nicole
These songs sound so plaintive and beautiful...they remind me that God sees me, even if others don't, and He knows what's going on.

The End
