Where did you get your Protagonize name?
Pantalaimon is the name of the main character's daemon in my favourite series. A daemon is a physical animal manifestation of a soul and personality.
What do you want people to call you?
Describe your most important goal.
I'd really like to publish a YA fantasy series or a series for children. I want to use fiction and fantasy to inspire a love for reading in children the way books from my childhood inspired me. I have a lot to live up to, but I am willing to work at it.
What animal are you most like? Why?
A European robin. I have a love for flight and freedom, but I am neither physically strong nor graceful. I can be a little clumsy and I am not at all exotic, but I am quite a happy (and sometimes talkative) person.
How would your friends or closest family members describe you if given three words?
crazy, happy, smart
If you could live anywhere, whether it exists or not, where would it be?
I would want to live in the world described in His Dark Materials so that I could have a daemon. Either that or Hogwarts; I'm not picky.
Name a character from a story, poem, or play who is most like you. If you can't pick, choose one you wish you were most like.
I wish I was more like the elves from Lord of the Rings - graceful, intelligent, quick. Haldir is my favourite, so we will go with him.
What is your least favourite literary work that you have read or started reading?
I'm not a big fan of The Old Man and the Sea by Hemingway. Don't get me wrong, I am sure it is a masterpiece to those who know more than I do. I just didn't enjoy reading it.
What is your favourite aspect of your personality?
I am kind to everyone until I am given a very good reason not to be. Then, I just ignore them.
What, in your opinion, is your largest flaw?
I don't handle criticism well. It's a a huge flaw because constructive criticism is so important. Protag is helping me get over this!
Recommend three literary works for us to read. These can be novels, book series, plays, poems, essays, etc.
His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, The Crucible by Arthur Miller, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Recommend two movies.
Donnie Darko and Inception
Recommend a collab.
Westrina's Character Competition!
Recommend a piece of your own work to read.
The Strange Diary of Asphodel, because each chapter is pretty short but I update it frequently.
Recommend a piece of another protag member's work to read.
There are so many! I will go with a long poem I recently favourited: The Tree of Charity, a collab between wolf, Gabriel, JackRubashevskiy, moonwalker, and SaveTheUnicorn.
New Question: If you could learn any one language, what would it be?
Tolkien's Quenya. :D
