KATE’S HOUSE – INTERIOR – KITCHEN
[KATE and ELLIE are there, with a notebook out in front of them. They are scribbling furiously.]
No, don’t put that! That’s ridiculous!
[KATE grabs the pen off ELLIE]
No, it’s not. It’ll be fine, trust me.
She’ll cut it out. She won’t let you put that in, honest.
Why shouldn’t she? She does this sort of thing to us all the time. I don’t see why she shouldn’t have a taste of her own medicine. After all, it’s only fair.
I’m not sure about that. I mean, two wrongs don’t make a right ….
But they might make a ‘write’, ha ha …
Oh, for goodness sake, stop worrying! It’ll be great. It’s a great idea. We need a plot, we’ve got a plot. If you’d stop being so picky about it, we could write her one hundred pages for her by Day 20 or something ridiculous like that.
I somehow don’t think she’d like that. Especially if it’s all like this.
Spoil sport. Come on, let’s see how it would look.
