Much More Than This

A song about how there has to be more to life than what there is.

I thought it would be just like what I saw

Until I discovered I was blind

Because at first the world was beautiful

Then I looked at it with new eyes

It hurt for a while until I grew numb

So I just continued with the lies

Because they are all I've ever known

But I thought it would be like I dreamed

And I believed there would be much more than this

There has to be more than this for me

It's like mirrors tilted at different angles

So we don't see it the same

But I'll pretend to keep the old perspective

Because I don't want the blame

For casting doubts and shadows on the

Picture with the pretty frame

Although they feared before

I thought it would be like I dreamed

I believed there would be so much more than this

It was never how it seemed

Explain these darkened thoughts and my closed heart

My troubled mind can't find where to start

The End
