To Whom It May Concern,
"Over the last 18 months of daily visits to the David Busby Centre (DBSC), I have had the opportunity and privileged of developing a great relationship between the DBSC staff, volunteers, and participants; and the experience has been invaluable.
The DBSC has provided an environment for which I could find greater purpose and value in myself, my abilities, and my future opportunities. And, without the DBSC, it is doubtful that I could have found my direction and motivation to follow the path in which I have since chosen.
I sincerely thank Sara, all of the Busby staff, and the many volunteers for their dedicated efforts and services." ~ Nick Robinson
I wrote this testimonial about 2 years ago, and it was included in this year’s Visibly Unseen photo journal, which is one of the many community awareness initiatives that the Busby Centre has created to help dispel the stigma and stereotyping of vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community.
Over 3 years has passed now since I first walked through the doors of the Busby Centre. At that time I was jobless, homeless, and in a state of personal crisis. There were (and are) other community and social services available, but the David Busby Centre has been the most effective, engaging, and proactive service provider in my experiences.
I’ve since managed to pull myself out of my predicament over those years, and I genuinely credit and thank the Busby Centre for providing the environment, resources, and counseling/consultation that directly contributed to the reversal of my previous state of affairs.
I have always been a strong supporter of the David Busby Centre. I’ve seen their service working first-hand, and can attest to the dedication and effectiveness of their organization; if anyone wants to make sure that their donations and support goes to an integral service provider in our community, I would sincerely consider donating to the David Busby Street Centre.
