Poison & Ink

A glass of water,

Sitting on the bedside stand,

Clear liquid

Drowning in toxins.

Collateral damage,

Caused by innocent smiles

And beguiling winks,

Sly touching of hands in

The corridor,

Unseen by no one.

Hey mister, the bellman says,

Dead bodies on the floor,

Hands entwined,

Glittering liquid

Scattered 'cross the floor,

Pearls on fair skin.

The End
