Thin LineMature

Thin Line 29/8/2012

There's a thin line between hate and love
A thin line between right and wrong
There's a thin line between black and white
Though the vision is blurring over time

There's a thin line between
Listening and hearing
There's a thin line between
Looking and seeing
When I'm talking to you
Do you understand?
Or are they just words that disturb the air?
When you look at me
Do you see the barely hidden tears?
Or just my mask?

There's a thin line between how and why
A thin line between you and I
There's a thin line between night and day
A thin line between yes and no
Though more and more
We're being denied our basic rights

There's a thin line between
Listening and hearing
There's a thin line between
Looking and seeing
When I'm talking to you
Do you understand?
Or are they just words that disturb the air?
When you look at me
Do you see the barely hidden tears?
Or just my mask?

There's a thin line between smiles and tears
A thin line between life and death
Just a beep of a machine
It could all be gone
So I choose
To ignore where the lines exist
Because nothings ever perfect
And nothings ever seems to quite fit
But I guess that's life

There's a thin line between
Listening and hearing
There's a thin line between
Looking and seeing
When I'm talking to you
Do you understand?
Or are they just words that disturb the air?
When you look at me
Do you see the barely hidden tears?
Or just my mask?

So if you see me
If you hear me
Believe me
When I tell you
These times are hard
And I need your warm hand around mine
To survive

The End
