Why do we always
Judge ourselves so harshly?
We’re our own worst enemies
Though it seems pretty clear to me
That we do just fine

Oh, I bet if a stranger
Watched us day-to-day
They’d say a few hiccups
But other than that
They do okay

Perfectionist, self-critical, obsessive, neurotic
Oh, none of these really show the negatives
Because if day in

We’re beating at our own skin
Well, we’re heading for a hard brick wall
Because nobody’s perfect
Everybody messes up
So stop yelling at yourself
