He ain't heavy, he's my brother

Thank you to those that shared their thoughts and memories with us here today. As sad as this moment is, it is great to hear about how much joy and positive influence Deans life has given to us. He would want us to reflect on the good his life has brought, not the sorrow his passing has left.

For Mary and Taylor: It goes without saying, but I will say it anyways...
You will always remain Family to every one of us.
We are all here for you, for anything, any time you need.

I have chosen a song to play that will forever remind me of Dean.
The reference to the song title came about a couple of decades ago. Dean & Steve were kidding around together with Pete after a typical family dinner, and having a laugh about each others excess weight.
Pete was getting tag teamed, and losing with the comebacks! So, in Pete’s defence, I piped in and said...
"Hey! He ain't heavy, he's my brother!!"

That sentiment, and the lyrics to this song, carry more meaning for me now; and are expressed well in the video I have chosen.
'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother' on YouTube at:  http://youtu.be/oT57tjz9py8

Everyone is now invited to come up and say their good-byes to Dean.
And, afterwards, let's all go back to Dean and Mary’s house; where he lived, loved, laughed, and spent the best years of his life. Let's not leave our last memories of him there, in the sadness.
So, let's all go and continue to enjoy the great memories of Deans life with each other, and with those that will join us this afternoon.

Thank you,
Nick

The End
