As you can see from the title, this came from my first time watching Jurassic Park many years ago. Surprised I still remember? Well, I don't really ever forget nightmares! It's short, but as a child it scared the bejeezus out of me. I was maybe ten years old or younger. I don't quite remember how old I actually was.
There was a raptor in my bedroom.
There wasn't room underneath my bed for me, my oldest sister was already there, along with all the storage boxes. (I shared a room with her) So, I sat there in the dark, hoping that the raptor wouldn't find me. My bed is very close to the wall, but there's a night stand right next to it, so the space where I was hiding was big enough for me.
Now, here's the whole dream:
I'm sitting between my bed and the wall. It's very, very dark. I heard the taps of the raptor's claws on my floor as it stalked in. It didn't make much other noise than sniffing around and the tapping. It's large body wove around the room, looking for me. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I hugged my knees to my chest, trying to make myself smaller.
The raptor curved around the bed and saw me.
We stared at each other. I knew I had no way of escape. So did the raptor. It leaped at me with it's mouth open, I didn't even have time to scream!
I woke up with a jolt. Luckily I had awoken before it got me. That day, I was super angry with my sister because she wouldn't help me get under the bed. Like I said previously, my dreams are quite real.
At least to me!
