Like a BeggarMature

Like a Beggar

Like a beggar, I reach out for any truth
Beckoning, beckoning, beckoning
Like a beggar, I stretch my hands out
Who am I, where am I, what am I?

I grasp for the things that destroy me
Yet I know no other way at all
Like a beggar, I grope for a way to surive
Who will restore my soul to me?

Like an urchin, a filthy varmint of sin
I just search for someone to fulfill
Crying out, crying out, just crying out
Does anyone, anyone at all, hear?

So like a beggar, I lie in wait for hope
If hope would ever dare to come my way
Like a beggar, like a beggar, like a beggar
I just want somebody to take me home

The End
