Battle of the breeds! The show in which 42 breeds of dog battle it out to avoid elimination. These dogs have been sorted into six teams of seven each team has a theme and each member is from a different category: Gundog, Hound, Pastoral, Terrier, Toy, Utility and Working respectively. One by one, week by week, a dog will be voted off by his (all the same gender to make it fair) team if they lose the challenge.

The teams:

Team Popular: Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, Whippet, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Shih Tzu, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and German Shepherd

Team Genius: Border Collie, Pharoah Hound, Doberman Pinscher, Standard Poodle, Golden Retriever, Papillon and Airedale Terrier

Team Pamper: Portuguese Water Dog, Afghan Hound, American Cocker Spaniel, Hungarian Puli, Miniature Poodle, Bedlington Terrier and Bichon Frise

Team Love: Newfoundland, Belgian Sheepdog, Flat-coated Retriever, West Highland White Terrier, Dalmatian, Havanese and Bloodhound

Team Health: Toy Poodle, Boxer, Beagle, Irish Setter, Border Terrier, Chow Chow and Shetland Sheepdog

Team Crufts: Hungarian Vizsla, Tibetan Terrier, Pekignese, Sealyham Terrier, Giant Schnauzer, Australian Shepherd and Basenji
