Burning Bright

The house seemed oddly empty and quiet without the girls being home and Ryan working away in his office listening to jazz like he always did.She was happy the girls were with her sister, and was relieved Ryan was with his friends enjoying his only pastime of football.

She brewed a pot of tea and lit some patchouli candles and decided to sit down at her kitchen table where she wanted to sketch. All was quiet and then she heard the voices again. They were in her head saying terrible things to her over and over again.

She wanted to scream. Now she knew it was time to get her plan in place. She went to the garage to get the gas can. Enough was enough, time to rid her life of the evil within.
