Meeting The Gang

Chapter 13

Meeting The Gang

"Oh crap!" I yelled, jumping out of my bed. I had woken up later then usual and when seeing the time i freaked out. School was going to start in 10 minutes and I hadn't even brushed my teeth yet!! Quickly getting ready, I got dressed quickly with a knee length black and white polka-dot skirt and a white tank top with a black cardigan over it. I locked the apartment and ran over to  the elevator. It was just about to close when I jabbed at the button frantically and it re-opened.

I walked in and leaned against the inside wall of the elevator while trying to catch my breath.

"Hey Adriana."

I looked up, recognizing the voice.

He answered me with a smile. i realized that little Anastacia was in here too, holding Raphael's hand.

"Hey Ana," I said with a small smile.

"You look...tired," she said laughing.

"That's a nice word, no really, it is." I rolled my eyes at her and she laughed more. We walked together to school, little Anastacia in the middle, holding both me and Raphael's hands. She smiled up at us. I don't know why but I felt like a parent to her just like I knew Raphael did. He caught my eye just as I thought this and grinned at me. I had a feeling he knew what I felt like.

After dropping Ana at her class, we quickly walked to our side of the school.

"I have a feeling we're going to be late," I muttered, power walking as fast as I could.

"Adriana, slow down." He caught my elbow and forced me to stop. "You do know it's healthy to ditch once in a while don't you?"

I bit on my lower lip. "Well...I really would love to but...what if I get in trouble?"

"You won't, trust me," he said with a laugh. "Besides, you're not going to be the only one." He winked.

"They'll be here any moment, promise," Raphael said to me.

We were back in the same cafe I'd met his friends, and this was going to be the place of our second rendezvous with the gang, but this time Raphael was here too.

"There they are."

In walked the same people I'd met last time, the two brothers; Toby and Joey and with them, Lisa and Tracy. They exchanged smiles with Raphael. Once they came to our table, I blurted out, "You all ditched?"

"Obviously," Toby said with a grin.

"We're all dead," I murmured.

They all laughed.

"She's a new one to ditch. Don't get too scared Adriana, it's not that all bad. Better anywhere then in class right?"

I shrugged at Tracy who flashed me a smile. Meeting the gang for the second time in the same place...but this time, I felt more at home.

The End
