Aftershock Of A First Kiss
The kiss left my lips buzzing physically, and astounded emotionally. Raphael had just kissed me and to my complete surprise, he’d left me craving for the urge to wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him back. He left me feeling like a half glass of water, to be filled up to the brim.
I didn’t think the day would end with a soft lip to lip show of affection…no I did not…but I was glad it had. However, I was quite scared on how it was going to be between us from now on. Would he, tomorrow, act as if nothing had happened and just continue being friends? Or would he just start flaunting me as his girlfriend or something along the lines of that?
No…Raphael isn’t the type to do that…or is he? Afterall I’ve only known him for a while.
Groaning, I stuffed my face into my pillow and tried to get some sleep which occurred with no success…
The night had been sleepless. Recollecting back to yesterday, I remembered finally falling asleep at around three in the morning but to only be awoken by the buzz of the alarm clock four and a half hours later. I’d hit the snooze button and continued my tired slumber before finally jumping up in alarm, and getting ready for school.
After taking a quick shower, I rummaged through my wardrobe and took out blue jeans, a white tank top, and black cardigan. Getting dressed fast, I grabbed a bar of Kit Kat and munched on it for breakfast, while walking towards the elevator.
When the doors opened, I found Raphael expecting me with little Ana by his side. I smiled at both of them.
“Hey Adriana,” Ana said, grinning at me. “You’re eating a chocolate bar for breakfast?” She asked with an even wider grin. I nodded and broke a piece of and gave it to her.
Raphael and I walked her to her classroom and walked back to our side of the school.
“You’re not ditching today are you?” I asked with a mocking smile. A faint smile appeared on his lips and he shook his head no.
“I’m glad,” I snorted. “What about the others?” He shook his head again. Why was he so silent? With a mental shrug, I continued walking with him, kicking at small rocks in front of me to pass the time.
I turned around to look at him with an eyebrow raised.
“How are you feeling?” He asked, sounding concerned.
I stared at him, confused.
I waited for him to answer as a few more minutes passed by in silence.
I stopped in my tracks and blinked stupidly at him. I’d totally forgotten!
