Whose Memories Are These?mature
"Why won't anyone believe me!!!!" Logan screamed, trying to break free of the restraints, but the most he could do was lift his head from the cold metal slab that he was strapped to.
The doctor was in the corner of the room, filling up a syringe.
"I'm going to give you a mild sedative to help you relax."
"No.... No, NO!" Logan screamed, face red from yelling so much. He paused as if he had come to a realization, like he had it all figured out. "Oh, I see, you're a part of it too aren't you! You can't fool me!! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME FORGET WHO I AM!!!"
The doctor gave him the injection and Logan's neck relaxed and his head fell gently on the table.
"See..." the doctor said, "much better, right?"
Logan said nothing and just starred at him.
The doctor began to bandage the wound on his head, which appeared to be caused by a bad fall or a hard hit to the head.
"You remember what happened? How you got this big ol' bump on your noggin."
"How do YOU think?." he said, almost in a whisper still with some aggression, starting to feel the effects of the drug.
The doctor took a deep breathe before speaking. "Well, I'd say you were mugged. Someone hit you on the head from behind, stole you're wallet and you passed out, and when you came to..."
Logan cut him off, "when I came too, everyone's trying to tell me I'm someone else! Even... my best friend, that brought me here... said... he never seen me before in his life!"
The doctor sighed and activated a glass display that was located on the ceiling for patients to see.
"You were lucky he was there to bring you here."
The doctor reattached the patient identification device to his finger and the display instantly pulled up all the basic information detected from the Patient ID database. On the screen flashed the name: Rezsx Szabados
"You know how accurate these things are." the doctor said, staring at the screen.
"It's not me." he said sadly, almost as if giving up.
"I'm sorry Rezsx, but things like this happen sometimes, and usually it's only temporary, you just have to give it time and your memory will come back."
"My memory is not gone!" he managed to yell will what energy was left in him.
"Then who are you then? You tell me? Right now, everything you can remember!"
Logan stared straight into the doctor's eyes and with out any hesitation, began to tell him everything he knew.
"My name is Logan Korpela, I was born September 28th, 2011, I'm 34 years old. I live at 3905 Gambler Lane, Houston TX 77088 and lived there for 5 years. It's a small house, but it's ok because I live alone. I'm a free lance photographer, not the best thing but I get what I can, and it pays the bills, never married, no children...."
The phone in the office rang, the doctor answered.
"Yes?" The doctor looked over at Logan and thought for a moment. "Go ahead and bring her in, just give me 5 minutes."
"Who was that? What was that about? What's going on?"
"Rezsx..."
"It's LOGAN!"
The doctor sighed. "Logan, they're sending your wife in. She's going to take you home."
Logan's eyes widen, "I, I don't have a wife."
