Announcing my upcoming review of Alexander Nixon's "The Rise of Apassionéa."
It’s me. Samantha. My first post ever is about my new favorite author and the fantasy world he has created, or, I should say, is still creating.
I just read Alexander Nixon’s first novel. It. Rocked.
I can’t tell you more about it right now because my mother is editing my review. When she is finished, and I agree with her changes, I will post my review of “The Rise of Apassionéa,” by New York City author Alexander Nixon.
In the meantime, please check out the Introduction to “Rise of Apassionéa.” I read the introduction and I was hooked. Of course, I am a sucker for any book that blends science and fantasy. I really like the Mayan mythology and, of course, the unicorns. In the book, they are not called unicorns. They are called Zipacnas. That’s pronounced like zip-POK-na. Cool right? That’s because it’s Mayan. ;)
All the illustrations for his novel, were drawn and painted by Nr. Mixon, as I like to call him. Here is a link to a NYC article in ARTSlant about him.
He’s pretty dreamy, eh? His book sure is! Stay tuned for my review.
