When Love Has Lost

I watch him.

Waiting.

A pin could have dropped

And shattered the world.

Not that I would have noticed.

                                                                

The green of his eyes

Like seaglass

Sparkling in the rain

Make me wonder

If there is more to him than is revealed

                                                                                                                                                                                                            

His quiet laughter

I don't even the remember the joke

But I just have to smile

Because he is happy

 

 

I don't know what to tell him

I don't know how he feels

I might make him nervous

I might make him real

                                            

And shatter the vision

That I have created

Whatever he knows, though,

He makes me elated
