The rocky hills looming in the distance of the bustling city of Naples are a bleak reminder of the apocalyptic happenings thousands of years ago. A group of eager tourists absorb the beautiful sights, unaware of the hell to come. With their own demons, grudges and romances arising, the plain becomes clouded and dooms them to their fates. Sheer will and the drive to survive face the ultimate test.

It's been so long since I even let myself remember you. Not that it was enough, no. I see you in everything I do. I hear your laugh, see your smile.

I don't know how much longer I can take it.

Maybe I'm being selfish, but things were never really the same since you left me. Jen thought that writing this would stop me from eating anymore tubs of rum and raisin ice cream on the couch with my rom-coms on, but I'm only doing this for her sake.

Well, maybe a bit for myself too. Even though I don't think you'll ever bother reading this, seeing as you're probably way too busy doing whatever it is that you would be doing.

Don't take any of this the wrong way. I never was that good at getting things out, and the subject matter isn't making things any easier.

All I want to say is...I love you, Jake. I miss you.

I also hope that things are great for you wherever you are now. If it isn't too much to ask, remember me.

Forgetting you is beyond me, anyways. Let alone 'moving on'.

That's all.

The End
