When?

Recommend

When I was young, I thought I was the one,

That would drive my soul deep, into treasures I should keep,

But then once more I see, none of it was for me,

No secrets were made strong, nothing could be hidden for long.

The truth within the eyes, of the young girl watching the skies,

Could not be any looser, then the lies we have brought closer,

So when do we believe, that the world is safe from its leash

Of human ignorance, that it is helpless with no endurance,

Is this the future we want, that our children will surely haunt?

An animal-less world, a land stripped so cold,

Of blackened, darkened clouds, that will make thunder loud?

So when do we open our eyes, and brighten all the lies,

That pollute the future skies?
