Keep your comfy chicken slippers on and let the feathers guide you

You feel a slight tingling sensation as you slip on the feathery footwear. As you turn around in your Elvis outfit, along with mismatched slippers, you notice a blue glow start to emanate from your feet.

The world around you starts to shimmer and change; your mother's startled gaze suddenly morphs into the features of a large, upright goat. In fact, a goat's head on a large, muscular man's body.

As your sight starts to stabilize, you are uncharacteristically unphazed by the anthropomorphic being standing directly in front of you.

"Hey there, buddy," exclaims the goat-man. "Got the time?"

Your answer?

"When I used the 'Preview', the story showed up correctly. Then when I posted it, it lost all the formatting, from italics to paragraphs. Should I have written it in HTML instead?
