The next morning, following a night that had ended in arguements, Christie got ready for work in silence, as usual.

Only, instead of work she followed Alex in his car,m keeping several cars behind like she had seen in the movies.

He pulled up outside a run down house, and watched him as a woman, barely a girl, came out the house.  She carried a young baby on her hip and was clearly expecting another one soon from the size of her swollen stomach.

Alex ran up to her, took her in his arms, smothered the baby with kisses and knelt on his knees to his her stomach.

Christie felt sick to her stomach
