Uptown Girl ● ● ● Claire & MohinderMature

Technically Mohinder knew how to tie a tie, but in practice, he’d only ever worn a real one a few times when a clip-on wasn’t available. Putting on the dog wasn’t his favorite activity, but luckily he cleaned up well enough to fool just about anyone. So this wasn’t a total ruse. He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t enjoying her company and the warmth emanating from her hands at his neck and to a lesser degree, her body, which he was attempting to get as close as possible to.

The sincere exchanges of skin contact - although brief - managed to sooth his craving for energy for the moment. Still, he refused to attempt to read her aura. She was his master now and it didn’t matter one way or another if she had skeletons in her closet. From what he could not avoid sensing, she wasn’t an angel though, and that fact tugged at his curiosity, causing her to become even more alluring, if possible.

Now it was his turn to grin as he watched her reaction to one of his abilities. You can touch it, he wanted to whisper, but that probably only sounded innocent in his head. Plus, he wouldn’t want to scare her. One power at a time, unless he had to use them to save her, of course. "I have quite a few tricks up my sleeves.” Anything else he thought about adding on to that sentence would have sounded like an innuendo, so he stopped there. Good demon.

Not ready for dining? At that part, his head tilted in curiosity. Before he could ask any questions, fingers were running through his curls, nice and gentle. He could feel himself becoming putty in her hands. It’d been so long since he’d felt such a gesture. Being locked up had taken quite a toll on him, but now he found his shoulders lowering in relaxation and eyelids drooping as if she was some kind of Demon Whisperer or something. “Yes, I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a proper haircut. Thank you.” Resist. Resist. But her hand was too close, and he found himself leaning into her touch and hand cupping over hers.

With his other hand, he snapped his fingers for what’s-his-name to come over and take the clothing to wrap up for them. “That sounds like an excellent plan to me. You are too kind. I really do owe you for saving me from that wretched cell. You have my loyalty.” Normally he would have been cautious about a haircut, but now, little stuff like that didn’t matter anymore. Once the clothing was taken care of, he would follow her out to the car and open her door for her.

The End
