Up Until Now...
I remember peaking through the tiny gap in my bedroom door. The planks were'nt usually fixed close enough, as with the rest of the wooden cabin, so I could see though and hear pretty well. I watched the fire play around on their faces, mischeivous shadows making some of the people unrecognisable, but I could still tell from their voices who they were.
I listened.
And listened.
And listened some more.
Then my eyes bulged. Tears crept up under my eyes and waited anxiously to burst out. Every time I took a breath, my chest shook and wavered, binding back a deep sadness.
All because this was the moment that I found out.
I found out that Lucian, my long-time friend and hopefully almost boyfriend, was my uncle.
