The year is 2034. Earth has suffered through WWIII and times are hard. The government as we know has fallen, the old powers being replaced with new ones. The most powerful rebels and terrorists from around the globe have created their own governments, claiming different parts of various countries as territories. Traveling among territories is forbidden...only applicable during invasions. Failure to comply is death. One man defies this law with a mission to rescue his family, half a world away.
12:00pm-Somewhere in Mexico
Shino Aburame lay perfectly still atop an abandoned watchtower, watching and waiting. The small town had been abandoned long ago, evidence of a battle from long ago still present. There were broken concrete buildings, artillery holes and ancient weapons and ammunition scattered across the area. He had scavenged as much of the usable weaponry and ammunition he could in this wasteland, packing only enough ammo for an old hunting rifle and a handgun. Inside the tower's observatory was a map, an old tv, papers and pictures scattered everywhere, a Jericho 941 F handgun and three fragmentation grenades.
A sudden motion a couple miles from the city caught Shino's attention. "Here they come." he thought. He took off his jet black sunglasses and put the gun's scope on. They were Los Pistoleros, a once small time Mexican gang that had become the reining government of what was left of Mexico. They came in three technicals, trucks that were outfitted with a stationary gatling gun. They all wore identical helmets and yellow and black shirts, some going further with black bandannas over their mouths and on their heads. As the technicals entered the city square, a large military truck entered behind them.
Three soldiers armed with Mac 11 machine pistols and an AK-47 stepped out of the truck, prodding out seven people tied up and blindfolded. Shino had watched these men for a while now and concluded that every week, on this day and at this hour they held their executions. Executions of foreigners, illegal immigrants and traitors.
Shino turned up the volume in his receiver, his second one being carefully hidden near the executing grounds. Although they spoke spanish, he understood the most part, re-saying it to himself. "Friends! Today we kill these traitors to our government!" This lead man carried a machete in his hands, stabbing it through two of the seven prisoners heads.
"Please don't hurt us!" A female voice pleaded. Shino closed his eyes as the machete wielding soldier sliced off the woman's head. Six left.
"Any of you that are my fellow countryman stand!" three more men stood up, one a boy who Shino expected to be only fifteen or fourteen. The machete wielding man let out a grave laugh before snapping his fingers, in a flash the AK-47 tore through the three. His comrades found his sick act humourous, firing their weapons into the air in excitement. "Anyone else a "Fellow" countryman!" 3 men left.
"Now!" Shino shouted. He pulled the trigger of his Winchester bolt action rifle three times, one hitting the machete wielding man in between the eyes and the other two hitting the technicals gas tanks. They exploded in a magnificent fashion, killing the soldiers in and around them. The remaining two made a dash for the truck while the technical opened fire right below Shino's location. He fired fired his last two bullets, both of them hitting the driver who's head slammed on the horn. This disrupted the machine gunner for a brief moment. A moment long enough for one of the slaves to run up the truck and head butt him to the ground.
"Stupid S.O.B." Shino said to himself. He reloaded his gun and took aim, zeroing his sights on the truck. He fired three times, two hitting the side of the truck and the remaining bullet hitting the side of the driver's face. He gazed around the area with his rifle, checking to see if there were any more survivors. When he was satisfied he left his location and grabbed his grenades and handgun, quickly running down the long flight of stairs to the bottom.
He arrived at the door and opened it quickly, holding his gun at his side as he approached the chaos he had caused. He looked at the remaining technical and noticed movement behind it. "Who's there!" He yelled.
