Around our apartment nobody talks much. I like it that way. It means that nobody asks any questions. When you live a life like mine, questions are to be avoided like the plague, they carry all sorts of crippling effects. A life like mine is full of secrets, full of lies, full of things that make questions a terrifying prospect. I've never been the best daughter to my mother or my step father, but since starting my second year of highschool things have taken a turn for the worse. Now, a question as simple as 'where are you going?' or 'who are you with' is like asking the a convict the name of his partner in crime.
