"Hi, sweetie," he whispered into my hair, his bare chest contracting around my body as he yawned, his warm breath heating up my skin that glistened with sweat. "How are you?"
I smiled, replying, "Amazing, just...amazing," as he prodded my ear with his nose. "And you?"
"Terrific...never better," he said, nibbling by neck coyly.
"Never?" I teased, turning over and wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling his face closer in to mine. "Not even our wedding? Or...our wedding night?" I winked and pecked his lips. "Or...how about...last New Year's?"
"Mmm, how could I forget?" he whispered, cocking an eyebrow.
"Well, Mr. I-Remember-Everything, what's today?" I laughed.
"Umm...is it your sister's birthday?" he asked. What? I...
"I don't have a sister," I uttered, my eyebrows narrowing.
"Oh, um, I knew that," he stuttered, blinking quickly. "Umm..."
"How about maybe our anniversary?" I squealed, trying to push past his blunder.
"Right!" he crowed, hugging me tight. "Happy anniversary, baby!"
