As soon as Seth opened the door, the smell hit me and I didn't need to look around the room for clues.
"Fire demon," I said instantly.
"Well, that was easy. How can you tell?" Seth asked.
"The smell. Smells like embers. You smell like blood, fire demons smell like fire. Where did you think the names came from?"
"It's not my fault you're more intelligent than I am."
I rolled my eyes. "I've been trained since I was 5 in working out who's who."
"Come on then, Miss Marple, let's go kill some pixels." He took my hand and pulled me back to his room.
"I don't think Miss Marple would have killed people, even if they were only pixels, because then she'd have to solve her own mystery and that would be pretty boring."
I sat down on his bed as he shuffled through the massive pile of games he had.
"What do you want to play? Modern Warfare 3? Oh, what about Nazi Zombies? We've not played that in ages."
"Can we do the World at War Nacht der Untoten?" I asked. It was the only map I could actually do.
He put Call of Duty: World at War into the disk tray and picked up two controllers. He passed me one of them and we started playing. We quickly got to round 13.
"How am I still alive? Shit, I'm out of ammo," I muttered.
"Go to the random box, I'll cover you," he replied.
I ran past all the zombies, quite skilfully I might add. Seth just went through and murdered them all, though he did have a M1919 Browning and a .357 Magnum. I ran to the random box. I saw my points go down to 50 and after a few seconds, I automatically selected to pick it up.
"I have a ray gun!" I laughed before singing, "I'm going to win! I'm going to win!"
At that very moment, I was attacked by zombies and was down, needing someone to revive me.
"I'm not going to revive you because you were boasting," Seth said after killing all the zombies in the room.
I asked him over and over again but he just grinned at me. I jumped up and stood in front of him so he couldn't see, just as he started to move towards the zombies coming through the door. He tried to look around me but I just moved in his way again.
Seth was shooting randomly and when he couldn't hear anymore zombies, he was about to say something before he got killed by a crawler. He dropped his controller on the bed and grabbed my waist, pulling me onto the bed, making me laugh. I put my hands on his shoulders and realised I was sat on his lap. I blushed. He smiled as he brushed my hair behind my ear.
"Would you mind if I kissed you?" he asked quietly, making me blush even more.
"Do you usually ask permission?"
"No, but you're Lara."
He kissed me. It was so soft, so gentle. I was surprised by the gentleness of it. I thought that, knowing Seth, it would be a bit more... intense. A bit more lustful, seductive even.
