Share this storyTwittering Away: Familiar Essays
Introduction
With the inspiration of close friend, E.B. White (he does feel like one after reading 'Essays of E.B. White' about a hundred times) and Anne Fadiman's 'At Large and At Small,' which I finished not too long ago - I have decided. I have decided to stop admiring from afar, and be a part of it. Or at least try to.
And as seen here, have begun my first attempt at it. I still do not know exactly what to write about, for I will have to review and reminisce just a little longer and I shall write what comes of it. But what better way to start this, than telling you about my ongoing love affair with writing; the English language, the writers who write my favorite books, and the people who inspired me and still do, to go along this path.
E.B. White said that only "congenitally self-centred" people write essays. This is not entirely untrue, for familiar essays are essentially all about you. Well, in this case, me. And I, I am just an ordinary human being, so what about me could possibly interest you? That, we have yet to see.
