Keitaro is on a mission. One that will change his life forever. His mission? To capture The Resistance's 'Secret Weapon'.
Xenia is one of the many refugees that have joined with The Resistance. Her and her best friend, Naomi, are both runaway slaves. She is also the one Keitaro is searching for.
But things take a strange turn when the two meet and Keitaro begins to wonder if he is doing the right thing.
A man walked quickly down the hall of the Black Castle. The messenger had told him that the master wanted to speak to him immediately and Akai didn't like to be kept waiting.
He couldn't have been much older than nineteen and he had long blonde hair that was pulled back into a lose ponytail with a piece of string. he was very tall and muscular. He wore only black and on his right shoulder was a strange looking symbol. This man's name was none other than Keitaro.
He approached a pair of big black doors that marked the entrance to the throne room. He paused in front of them and took a deep breath. After a minute he opened the doors and entered.
The throne room was dark and damp; the only light coming from a single torch by the door. Akai hated the light.
As Keitaro walked deeper into the room, the familiar nauseating smell of decay greeted him. It was rumored that Akai preferred human flesh to anything else. So far these rumors hadn't been confirmed to be true.
At the end of the room there was a flight of stairs that led to the throne itself. When Keitaro reached the stairs he dropped to one knee and bowed his head. he kept his head down as he spoke.
"You summoned me, Master?" he asked, awaiting the reply. Out of the corner of his eye, Keitaro saw a dark figure begin to circle him.
"I have an important mission that needs to be carried out and you're the only one I trust to do it." said a spine chilling voice. There was a pause. "Stand." Keitaro stood up and faced his hooded master. Keitaro had only ever seen Akai's face once. It was an experience he never wanted to repeat.
"What is it?" he asked, staring straight ahead as Akai continued to walk around Keitaro.
"The Resistance's secret weapon. I need you to find out who it is, though I think I already know that answer..."
"I believe you know her." Akai stopped walking. "That slave girl who set fire to the bridges we were making to assult one of the neighboring towns." he paused again. "The one you gave the three scars to."
"Her? She's dead, Master. We left her and her little friend in the desert two years ago!"
"You mean she would've died... Had she been a regular girl..."
"Are you suggesting that she..?" Akai cut him off.
"Yes, it seems that she does indeed have a special..." Akai trailed off for a second, thinking. "Talent for controling the magic of the world."
"Her?" Keitaro asked increduously. "You're joking right? She couldn't do anything right as a slave! What makes you thing she's suddenly gained powers?"
"Do you doubt me?" Akai asked icily.
"No, sir. What would you have me do?"
"I want you to bring her to me. I don't care how you do it; all I want is her standing in this room, alive, by the time the Double Moon rises."
"Consider it done." Keitaro started for the door.
"Keitaro," Akai said, making him stop. "If the job is not done you will wish you'd never been born." There was silence.
"I will not fail you, Master." Keitaro said determined.
