I set down my coffee and sighed,
"Well sheriff Bullock," I slowly replied, "It so happens that there is an explanation to this whole thing, but unfortunately the explanation won't apply to this century, It does for ours but not for yours."
"What are you talking about?" he replied. Looking over at Montana and Melonie, I replied,
"What I'm about to tell you is the God's honest truth, Montana and Melonie can both attest to the fact that it is the truth, but unfortunately here in 1876 a woman's testimony doesn't count for shit, but both of them have been and seen."
Bullock Looked over at them,
"He's telling the truth, sheriff," said Montana, Melonie nodded as well.
"I must warn you sheriff if you persist, you will cross over into a world that will challenge everything you ever knew or were taught. Shall I stop or continue?"
Bullock looked around nervously, first at the doctor who just shrugged then back at the women.
"Very well." Jake and I retrieved our rifles along with the night vision devices and laid them on the table in front of him. Picking up my M1, I said,
"This is a Springfield M1A, it is a gas operated semi-automatic rifle firing as fast as you can pull the trigger. These are night vision devices, they allow you to see at night, as easily as if it were daytime. This is an M4 semi-automatic 12 gage shotgun, and last but not least my Colt semi-automatic .45, it holds seven rounds in the magazine." Jake then stood up and described his Colt M4, as well as the AK47. Sitting back down, we stared at the sheriff.
Very slowly, Bullock asked,
"Where are you from?"
"Originally I'm from Michigan," I replied, "But right now I'm from Deadwood, but the 2014 Deadwood."
