I wake up to bright lights,

I’m being hooked up,

And, as I watch my blood flow out of me as new blood flows in,

I laugh.

I bawl.

I sigh.

They say that your life flashes before your eyes when you die,

But I saw dogs.

I heard them barking.

Then I saw nothing.

Heard nothing.

Felt nothing,

But everything.

Time was of low importance at that moment,

For I felt free at last.

The End
