Jake followed Hailee, his eyes trained on her blonde hair as she skipped down the beach. Hailee stopped in her tracks and turned her head around, "Jake, stop following me!"
"No. I need to see what you're doing."
"Go find someone else to bother."
"But there is no one else."
"Sorry for you." She continued along the shore, the water tickling her toes as she passed. She was stuck with Jake for the rest of eternity, and that meant she had to try to endure it.
"Hails, I know I'm not your favorite person, but please please tell me what you're doing. I don't want you to get lost."
"Sure. Like I'll get lost." She smirked. "The one getting lost would be you."
"Come on. Tell me already!!"
"Okay, fine. I would if I was sane. But unfortunately I'm not so no. That is none of your buisness."
"Ugh!" Jake struggled to keep up with Hailee, but couldn't. His short legs didn't walk twenty miles and hour, like hers.
As he finally got to her side she bumped him in his elbow, causing him to fall over in the wet sand. She grinned as Jake made a move of sweeping the sand off his shorts and shirt.
"Please tell me. Please, I'll do whatever you want. Just please. I want you to be safe." He pleaded.
Hailee faced him, "Anything?"
"I'm going to the volcano."
"I just have to."
"Okay, you told me. What do you want?"
"I want you to leave the island and go get dad."
"Wh-what?" Their father was dead, he died two years ago.
"Leave the island and go get our father."
"No he's not."
"Yes he is."
"Jacob! No he is not. I faked that he was dead."
"You!" He charged at her and began to blow punches in her stomach. But Hailee was stronger than him and easily threw him off.
"I know it sounds bad. But it's for a good reason."
"And what is that?"
"To save us."
