The Snow was really coming down now, you could barely see any lights. "The Duchy and the Marquis had gone AWOL into the book, the churlish chickens! " Archi thought. Now she was all alone in the storm. She would go back to the pub, but she couldn't see it from here. She had been following what she thought were street lights, but they had petered out, and now she didn't know where she was. Suddenly she was grabbed from behind, and a gloved hand put over her mouth when she tried to scream. Her most immediate reaction was to fight back, so she bit the gloved hand. Hard. "Yeeooowww! What did you do that for, you idiot!" A male voice whispered harshly into her ear. I'm trying to keep you out of trouble, and you bit me!" Recognizing Kevichella's voice, Archi went from fear to fury in one second flat. "You snuck up on me. I didn't know it was you. You scared me right out of my skin. I thought I was in danger!" All this came out in a tirade while Kevichella dragged her beside him. She kept crossing her skis, and she couldn't use her pole because he had her arm. "Hurry up, he yelled into her ear, " we have to get to shelter." Shelter turned out to be some sort of opening in a solid wall of rock. "Where are we?" She asked. "We're in a cave in that cliff down the river from the pub." He walked further into the cave, and they could see a good sized fire along one wall. Gathered around the fire warming their hands, were McKenzie, Moonwalker, Carla, Forrest, and Sly. " Look who I found outside all by herself, and headed right towards The Lair." Kevichella said to the others. "Lair? What lair? What are you talking about? " aked Archi. "The Lair of the thing that has Rich," Moon said quietly, as she went over to Archi.
