Slowly, ever so slowly, you ease yourself out of the chair and pad over to the door, grabbing the rifle leant against the door on the way.
As you creep down the corridor, hewn roughly into the bare rock, doubts begin to float into your mind. Is this really such a good idea? You reach the entrance to the cavern, and edge through.
The silence is deafening. At first it looks as though there is nothing wrong, but despite this, there are shivers running up and down your spine. Having satisfied your curiosity, you turn to leave.
It's then that you notice the wet footprints, shining on the dusty floor of the cave. You can't help yourself, you creep over and take a look.
It's then that the lights go out.
You stay stock still, working on the principle that if you don't move you won't be seen.
