And Seth considers himself a god with his powers. Mr. Walker turned around and said something that caught all our attention.
"I have 2 announcements to make. One, theirs a new student joining us today. She is from this area, Tokyo."
"She's a girl, dude," the boys whispered.
I rolled my eyes. Boys are lunatics, that's what they are.
"She's joining us today and I hope you welcome her to Future Academy."
A girl with long brown hair and dark brown eyes that nearly appeared black (like Ray) walked into the room. She was wearing the school uniform but I could see from her face that she didn't like it one bit. I guess she was a tomboy cause she was wearing some shorts under the skirt.
"Hi. I'm Sakura," she said, "Sakura Kino."
She had put her hair in a long ponytail and was holding tightly to her notebooks.
"Where are you from?" Stevie Woods, one of Seth's gangsters, asked.
She grinned and said, "I guess you already know but you're wasting your time talking to a pretty girl like me."
Everyone turned around to look at Stevie who sank in his chair.
"You can read minds!" I said.
She grinned at me and nodded.
"Whoa, she's powerful. Why is she repeating what I'm saying? No, thinking! Damn it! She's reading my mind!" Sakura said, saying everything I had been thinking.
Now that was cool.
"What's your other power?" Stephanie asked her but grimaced when she heard the reply.
"Weather Control. I can change the weather."
Sakura remained quiet as she studied Stephanie.
Then she said, "You don't have to feel bad about your powers. You're even lucky you have some."
Stephanie melted away and shot me a pleading look to change the subject.
I quickly asked, "How many years have you stayed here?"
"Nearly my whole life. I was here for pre-school and kindergarten, then went to America for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. Then came back here to spend 3 years in VoiceHill Academy. Now I'm here for 9th grade."
The class looked at her, surprised. Swoosh. In front of Sakura was a paper ball but it dropped to the ground and broke. Sakura had used her power to turn it in to ice.
"That's pretty good for a VoiceHell Academy sucker," Seth said.
"You're the sucker, idiot," she muttered.
There was silence.
"Okay, let's move on to the exams," Mr. walker said.
He whispered something to Sakura. She nodded, then came and sat next to Jane and I. We smiled at her, welcoming. She didn't notice because she was too busy muttering away curses at Seth who just gave her a cold look.
"Well as you know, every year we have a few tests to see if you're getting new powers."
"Will Sakura be doing the tests?" Someone in the class asked.
"No. She already did it in VoiceHill. They're afterschool from 3:00-3:30 and we have notified your parents so no need to worry."
The bell rang and we got up to move to the next class, P.E.
