Arisa!" called her best friend Diana waving at her while running to her. Diana was in different classes from her friend Arisa but she didn't mind much getting to see her during physical education.

It was after school and on Wednesday, the two friends were going to their fencing class. Diana had short brown hair and light skin wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans carrying her backpack on one shoulder and carrying her fencing bag in her right hand.

"Hey Diana." Arisa was sitting down on the stairs waiting for her friend to hurry up.

Arisa had long black hair in a ponytail and light brown skin wearing a long grey t-shirt and blue jeans.

"What took you so long Diana?" Arisa asked as she went up from sitting on the stairs, holding her fencing bag and carrying her messenger bag.

Her friend soon became flustered with her face turning scarlet and she murmured quietly, "I got scolded by my history teacher..."

"Why in the world did you get scolded by your history teacher?"

"I shouted when school ended saying, Yes! Fencing here I come!" Diana said in a small and timid voice.

Arisa soon sighed and said, "Why would you yell in class when it's about to end and the teacher going to dismiss you?"

"I got excited."

"So you could be free and go fencing away all your thoughts of homework and school. But you shouldn't really do that." Arisa said jokingly while smirking.

"Okay Mom!"

Both of them soon stopped talking and walking to the bus stop waiting for the bus. Arisa looked around the bus stop being bored waiting and saw a crowd surrounding a store near the bus stop.

"Look over there Diana! There's such a huge commotion!" Arisa said with outmost curiosity.

"Really? I wonder what is the store name..." Diana was about to adjust her reading glasses until Arisa said, "It's Play N' Trade.... Never mind maybe it's just a game."

"Uh-uh. Let's go and see it!"

"Oh no we're not. We have to go to fencing." Arisa said trying to distract her but was useless. Diana's eyes were sparkling.

Arisa knew that whenever there was a new gadget or game Diana must have it.

Diana took Arisa's hand and almost dragged her through the crowd to the store's window. 

The two of them got near the store window and looked through. Inside the window there was the regular cyber glasses that every one uses but there was a virtual visual screen appear above it. 

'The Cyber Glasses is now upgraded! Now version 0.10 of year 2030!'

Arisa soon thought about the popularity of the cyber glassed happened before she was born. The cyber glasses aren't regular glasses but are high technology. It use Internet connection, give information and could be used as a phone.

"An upgrade! I need to buy it! It must have some new features!" Diana squealed and was twirling around.

"It might be expensive and I don't have much money..." Arisa said and then her friend said, "Don't worry! I will buy one for you!"


"Are you sure Diana?"

"Yes. I got enough money to buy us both Arisa! You know I work a part time job."

"And then you end up spending it on every game or gadget you see." Arisa says shrugging and sighing.

"Hey! At least I don't need to bother my parents to buy something I like!" Diana retort with a pout, then her eyes gaze toward to another virtual screen. "What's that?"

'The Universe?' Arisa thought and told Diana, "It's a preview of a ----" Which Diana found out already running and attempting to go through the door.

"Uh? Where did she go?" Arisa asked stunned that Diana just went running and disappeared. Arisa just shrugged and turned around seeing a girl dressed in black and a hood covering her face.

'Who is she?' Arisa thought and then the girl spoke quietly and mysteriously, "It will be soon beginning..."

Arisa looked at her being confused and the girl soon mysteriously disappeared into the crowd.

"Ah? Who was she?"

"Who is who?" Diana asked and Arisa was alarmed when she came back next to her.

"It doesn't matter anyway. Where did you go?"

"Inside the store. I bought the game 'The Universe' and the two cyber glasses." Diana replied.

"Great." Arisa said sarcastically, and she saw the bus just went by bus stop.

"Oh no! Wait!" Arisa said grabbing Diana's hand trying outrunning the bus but it was quite useless.

"I'm sorry Arisa. We missed our bus." Diana said quietly and Arisa shook her head, "It's okay. I wonder when next bus is coming."

Diana stood up looking like she had an idea and she was rummaging her bag. "Here it is, the upgraded cyber glasses. This one is for you."

"Okay. Thanks. Now what?" Arisa asked still utterly confused.
"Now you have to turn it on and register that you are the new user of the cyber glasses." Diana said informatively and impatient holding her arms together.

"Got it. Thanks Diana." Arisa said cheerfully and a virtual screen popped up and she soon found the bus listing.

"Ah it's coming very soon."

"Yes! No more waiting!"

True to Arisa's word the bus just came in a few minute. The two of them went on the bus showing their pass to the driver and went to find a seat.

As Diana and Arisa sat down, they soon began to talk about the game.

"The Universe is really interesting."

"How can a game be interesting?"

"It got quests, cool graphics, so many dungeons, fields and a many classes."

"Classes? What do you mean classes?

"When you create a character you can personalize it and there are many classes to choose from."

"Like what?"

"Never mind I will explain later the bus stopped at the fencing class, Arisa."

"Ok, Diana."

The two friends went off the bus and they went inside to their fencing class greeting their coach.

"Ah you two are finally here." Coach Kaufman said with her cyber glasses on her head soon putting it on. Soon there was a virtual screen appear and then she said, "Get dressed and go to practice. There is a competition next week."

"Yes ma'am!" the two of them ran to the locker room. Arisa got dressed quickly while the cyber glasses distracted Diana. "Gosh. Hurry up Diana."
"Ok."

"I'm heading out first then." Arisa said grabbing her foil going out of the locker room. While going out she saw the black dressed girl again. "You again! Just who are...you??"

"The beginning will soon begin with destruction coming to its way." She replied not giving her the answer and Arisa felt strange and tired all a sudden collapsing.

Diana came out and she saw Arisa on the floor unconscious. "Arisa.... Arisa what's wrong? Wake up!!"

The story's setting is in the future in the year 2030, and this is probably a going to be an on-going story since this is the beginning chapter. The future is the same like ours but no TVs or computers but high technology. The main character is named Arisa.

The story title is The Universe.
