Well, the bus ride was nice, I thought to myself as I went to get breakfast, A little uneventful, I guess.
The truth is, I had wanted something to happen. I mean, me and Jordan did have a nice conversation, but it wasn't what I had expected. He didn't really like talking about himself, unlike most of the other guys I talk to. It seemed like he cared more about what was going on in my life.
I was so caught up in thought I accidentally bumped into one of the big jocks that hang around outside the cafeteria.
"Hey dumba- oh, hey Rachel! Didn't realize it was you. So, uh, how about some dinner and a movie tonight?" He flashed me one of those suggestive grins that I hated.
"Oh, back off Ray, I bet your girlfriend would be a little bit ticked off if she found out you were asking me out behind her back. In fact, there she is now," I pointed towards his girlfriend, Selena, "Why don't I go have a little chat with her?"
"W-what!? No! Y-you don't have to do that! I-I won't bother you again!" He turned and walked off with his friends laughing at him.
That's what you said last time, jerk. I thought as I walked into the cafeteria, But you'll always try again.
I got my breakfast and sat at my table, deep in thought about how I should stop that jerkwad from hitting on me again.
That's when my friends came in, giggling up a storm.
Oh great. Now I'm gonna get laughed at for sitting next to Jordan. What a great day so far.
